About Sam...
I specialize in working with anxiety, trauma (be it personal, intergenerational/familial, or cultural), identity, spirituality, death & dying, grief, family systems, and the ways in which our lives are impacted by the larger social systems and institutions around us. I believe that a strong relationship rooted in safety is essential towards digging in to the more challenging topics, and so the beginning of our work together is oriented around nurturing this safety. I also believe that the work of healing and growth takes time and patience. My approach is slow, non-forceful, and centered around learning to be fully human.

I focus primarily on presence, patience, and deepening your ability to pay attention to the here-and-now experience of being. I do this through a blend of features from IFS, Hakomi Method, Polyvegal Theory, and Humanistic schools. I do not offer "brief therapy," but instead engage in supporting a long-term practice of self-discovery and authenticity.

In my free time, I read novels, drink tea, spend time with my partner and our dog, and do my best to flail as authentically as possible through my own existence.
